THE DECK LONDON MOVES TO SAVILE ROW

Congratulations to the Deck for opening its location on Savile Row! They are the first dedicated women's tailor to open on the iconic street.

The Deck was founded in 2019 by Daisy Knatchbull. Before she founded the Deck she worked for five years as the Communications Director at Huntsman, one of Savile Row's oldest and most prestigious bespoke tailors. The Deck is determined to establish itself as the leading tailoring house for women internationally and to stand alongside its neighbors on Savile Row as a respected and innovative tailoring house.

Richards Bespoke was founded by Stephen Richards Jr. in Nashville, Tennessee. With a background in business and a passion for clothing. After college, he started to work in his family business. Three years later he decided to follow his passion and start his own custom clothing company, the rest is history!

This week let's learn how to tie the Windsor knot!

Why do they call it the Windsor knot?... Good question, I'm glad you asked!

The knot is named after the Duke of Windsor, who was formerly known as King Edward VIII of England. He was known for his elegant sense of style and his preference for wide, triangular neckties with a knot that had a symmetrical, triangular shape.

The Duke of Windsor popularized this knot in the early 20th century and it quickly became a favorite amongst fashionable gentlemen. The Duke was not the inventor of the knot, but he did help make it famous and was widely associated with it. As a result, it was named after him.
